Mr. Jawitz has over 40 years of business, entrepreneurial, finance, banking, legal and non-profit experience both in the United States and internationally. From 2015 to 2022 Mr. Jawitz served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Board Member of Common Living Inc., a VC-backed company focused on shared co-living residential properties in major urban locations in the U.S. From 2014 to 2022, he served as a non-executive director of Bank Leumi USA and before that was a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Asia Ltd., Head of Private Placements and Leveraged Loan Origination at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Managing Director and Head of J.P. Morgan’s European Debt Capital Markets Group. He began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Jacob Mishler, Chief Judge, United States Court, Eastern District of New York and was a practicing attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Mr. Jawitz received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. He is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Finance, Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University.
