Deborah Smith

Deborah Smith, Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Prior to forming The CenterCap Group, LLC, Ms. Smith was Co-Head of M&A and a Senior Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis Investors (CB Richard Ellis's $40 billion AUM investment management business). She joined CBREI in July 2007 to co-head the build out of the firm's M&A efforts. During her time with the firm, Ms. Smith provided global advisory and capital markets expertise in sourcing, structuring and executing entity-level real estate transactions, venture capital investments, joint ventures, and acquisitions or recapitalizations of undervalued or distressed real estate investment and development companies and portfolios. Ms. Smith led the firm's negotiation and acquisition of a majority interest in Wood Partners (one of the largest multifamily developers in the United States) in 2008 and maintained an active portfolio management role post acquisition. Her role at CBREI was later expanded to include a focus on corporate business development, including a key role in the firm's global portfolio review process. She was a member of the firm's Global Leadership Team, which overseas execution of strategies and best practices, and was a member of various internal task forces.

Previously, Ms. Smith was a senior banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Lehman Brothers. There, Ms. Smith was hired as part of a team to build out Lehman's real estate M&A platform. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Ms. Smith worked on mergers and acquisitions with Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley. During her investment banking career, Ms. Smith has worked primarily with real estate, power and utility, oil and gas, media and communications, retail and healthcare companies. She has extensive experience in providing mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, restructurings and capital markets transactions advice to both public and private companies. Ms. Smith began her career in Australia working primarily on restructurings and privatization assignments. Ms. Smith has been involved in more than $100 billion of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. Ms. Smith has a Bachelor of Economics, with honors, and a Bachelor of Law, with honors, from the University of Sydney.

June Munshi

June Munshi, Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Prior to forming The CenterCap Group, LLC, Ms. Munshi was Co-Head of M&A and a Senior Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis Investors (CB Richard Ellis's $40 billion AUM investment management business). She joined CBREI in July 2007 to co-head the build out of the firm's M&A efforts. Ms. Munshi was charged with providing global advisory expertise in sourcing, structuring and executing entity-level real estate transactions, joint ventures, and acquisitions or recapitalizations of undervalued or distressed real estate investment and development companies and portfolios. Her role was expanded to focus on capital markets activities for CB Richard Ellis Investors' discretionary funds globally. During her time with CBREI, Ms. Munshi sourced over $150 billion of potential investments for the firm's capital sources and developed over 200 new relationships with third party capital providers. She also was actively involved in the firm's global portfolio review process. Ms. Munshi was a member of CB Richard Ellis Investors' Global Leadership Team, which oversees execution of strategies and best practices, and was a member of various task forces.

Previously, Ms. Munshi was a senior banker in the real estate investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and Wachovia Securities where she provided mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, restructuring and capital markets transaction advice to public and private real estate companies. Ms. Munshi also has advised public and private companies in raising private capital for direct real estate investment strategies. During her career, Ms. Munshi has been directly involved with approximately $35 billion of advisory assignments and executed over $15 billion of common equity, preferred equity and debt offerings for public REITs and closed end funds. Ms. Munshi holds a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School.

Lisa Beeson

Lisa Beeson, Managing Partner

Ms. Beeson focuses on the firm's public REIT coverage efforts. Prior to joining the CenterCap Group LLC, Ms. Beeson was President and Chief Operating Officer for American Realty Capital Properties, a $20 billion net lease REIT that also owns Cole Capital, a sponsor and distributor of public non-traded REITs. Before joining American Realty Capital Properties, Ms. Beeson was Global Head of Real Estate M&A for Barclays and Lehman Brothers. Ms. Beeson was also a Managing Director working on mergers and acquisitions for Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley. She has been the lead advisor on over $400 billion of transactions, including many marque transactions in the real estate space. Ms. Beeson has extensive experience working with Boards of Directors around strategic alternatives and activist shareholders. Ms. Beeson holds a B.A in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter DiCorpo

Peter DiCorpo, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. DiCorpo recently joined Waypoint Residential as Chief Operating Officer overseeing the firm's capital raising, finance, accounting and operations teams.

Prior to joining Waypoint Residential, Mr. DiCorpo was the President of the U.S. Core Investment Platform for CBRE Global Investors. In this role, Mr. DiCorpo oversaw the firm’s $10.2 billion core investment business in the United States. Mr. DiCorpo was a member of the firm’s Global Leadership Team and the former Chairman of the firm’s Americas Leadership Committee. Mr. DiCorpo joined the Firm in 2008 and initially served as the firm’s Global Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the global execution of the company’s business plan. In 2010, Mr. DiCorpo served as President of CBRE Global Investors’ European and UK businesses. Prior to this, Mr. DiCorpo served as Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Residential Production AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp.

Mr. DiCorpo is active in the National Multi-Housing Council, Chairman of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers and Treasurer and Director of the Westchester Land Trust. Mr. DiCorpo earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colgate University, a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from New York University Stern School of Business.

James Mead

James Mead, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Mead served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SL Green Realty Corp. from November 2010 until December 2014. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Mead was responsible for finance, capital markets, investor relations and administration. Prior to joining SL Green, from November 2004 to March 2010, Mr. Mead was Chief Financial Officer of Strategic Hotels and Resorts, Inc., a high-end hotel REIT with properties in the US, Mexico and Europe. From April 1993 to October 1999, Mr. Mead was at the California based apartment REIT Irvine Apartment Communities, where in addition to being Chief Financial Officer, he was responsible for the company’s property management division. Mr. Mead also worked as head of capital markets for the Irvine Company and previously worked at JP Morgan in investment banking.

Mr. Mead is a member of the Board of Directors for Easterly Government Properties, where he chairs the audit committee and is a member of the compensation committee. He is also on the Board of Advisors for the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane University. A graduate of Tulane University, Mr. Mead holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden School of Business Administration.

John Webb

John Webb, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Webb is a co-managing partner of C3H8 Partners, LLC ("C3H8"), a management team partnership retained by a private equity firm to identify and execute investment opportunities in the U.S. downstream energy distribution industry. Mr. Webb is also the managing partner of Webb Capital Partners LLC (“WCP”). WCP focuses on principal investing, advisory and financial services for young growth companies. Mr. Webb is also a Principal of MC Square Capital, LLC, an SEC registered Broker Dealer, and a FINRA and SIPC member. Prior, Mr. Webb had a 20 year career with Barclays Capital. In his last position, he was a Managing Director in the Gaming and Hospitality team where he executed debt, equity and M&A transactions for the firm’s clients. During a varied and international career at Barclays, Mr. Webb worked in coverage, leveraged finance, structured commodity/ structured finance and credit functions. Mr. Webb was educated at Kingston College and North East Surrey College of Technology.
