Deborah Smith

Deborah Smith, Co-Founder and CEO

Ms. Smith is Co-Founder and CEO of The CenterCap Group, LLC and heads the firm's Strategic Capital and M&A and Execution efforts. Prior to forming The CenterCap Group, LLC, Ms. Smith was Co-Head of M&A and a Senior Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis Investors (CB Richard Ellis's $40 billion AUM investment management business). She joined CBREI in July 2007 to co-head the build out of the firm's M&A efforts and led the firm's negotiation and acquisition of a majority interest in Wood Partners (one of the largest multifamily developers in the United States) in 2008. From 1998-2007, Ms. Smith worked on mergers and acquisitions with Lehman Brothers, Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley. Ms. Smith has been involved in more than $100 billion of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. Ms. Smith has a Bachelor's degree in Economics honors and a Bachelor's degree in Law honors, from the University of Sydney.

Lisa Beeson

Lisa Beeson, Principal and COO

Ms. Beeson is a Principal focused on M&A efforts. Prior to joining the CenterCap Group LLC, Ms. Beeson was President and Chief Operating Officer for American Realty Capital Properties, a $20 billion net lease REIT that also owns Cole Capital, a sponsor and distributor of public non-traded REITs. Before joining American Realty Capital Properties, Ms. Beeson was Global Head of Real Estate M&A for Barclays and Lehman Brothers. Ms. Beeson was also a Managing Director working on mergers and acquisitions for Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley. She has been the lead advisor on over $400 billion of transactions, including many marquee transactions in the real estate space. Ms. Beeson has extensive experience working with Boards of Directors around strategic alternatives and activist shareholders. Ms. Beeson holds a Bacherlor's degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania

Jeffrey Hawkins

Jeffrey Hawkins, Managing Director

Mr. Hawkins is a Managing Director focused on the firm's Relationship Management and Financial Sponsor coverage effort. Mr. Hawkins also provides capital raising, strategic advisory, and mergers & acquisitions advice to a wide spectrum of real estate owners, operators, fund managers and REITs. Hawkins brings over 25 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, capital markets and strategic consulting. Hawkins has worked on transactions totaling over $8 billion of capital on behalf of his clients. Prior to joining The CenterCap Group, Hawkins was in the M&A and Corporate Advisory group at JLL. Before JLL, Hawkins provided capital markets services through his own company (CEL Capital Advisors) and was a partner at a fund manager/private equity firm. Before entering real estate capital markets, Hawkins worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. and in mergers and acquisitions at Deutsche Bank Securities. Hawkins holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bacherlor's degree in Engineering from Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo. He holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.

Ian Jeddy

Ian Jeddy, Managing Director

Mr. Jeddy is a Managing Director of Institutional Advisory Services, providing investor relations and strategic advice to real estate and real asset managers across their fundraising lifecycles/platforms. He brings more than 20 years of financial services experience in asset management and investment banking, raising capital for alternative investment managers in private equity and hedge funds, providing advisory services and executing mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Prior to joining CCG, Mr. Jeddy was in Marketing and Investor Relations with Global Infrastructure Partners, a leading global, independent infrastructure investor with approximate $50 billion of assets. Prior to GIP, Mr. Jeddy was the Director of Marketing and Investor Relations for JMC Capital Partners, a Boston based private equity buyout firm focused on the lower-middle market industrials space. Before JMC, Mr. Jeddy was the Director of Marketing for Hanover Investors, a UK based private equity firm focused on event-driven special situations turnaround investing and he spent 14 years at Credit Suisse in its asset management and investment banking divisions.

Josh Kagan

Josh Kagan, Managing Director

Mr. Kagan is a Managing Director at The CenterCap Group. He brings a principal investment perspective to engagements, having spent over 25 years investing across real estate asset classes in both private equity and public REIT environments. His deep investing, operating and structuring experience, coupled with data-driven decision making, underpin a highly disciplined approach. He has had full responsibility for leading firms, implementing investment strategies, developing and managing LP capital relationships and overseeing portfolio management. Mr. Kagan's organizational experience includes building high performing teams, change management and process reengineering, and establishing key performance metrics. Prior to CenterCap, he was Co-CEO at an investment manager, investing for public pension plans. Other positions include Officer & Regional President for Equity One (NYSE:EQY), Managing Director at The Davis Companies, Managing Principal of a boutique investment manager, and Chief Investment Officer at AmCap Incorporated.

Mr. Kagan did his undergraduate work in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. He holds an MBA from the University of Denver and is an alumnus of Harvard's Graduate School of Design, completing its 1-year Advanced Management Program in Real Estate.

Kyle Kaylor

Kyle Kaylor, Managing Director

Mr. Kaylor is a Managing Director focused on providing capital raising and strategic advisory services to the firm's private and publicly-traded real estate clients. Prior to joining The CenterCap Group, Kyle was a Director at Capstone Companies, a multifamily-focused brokerage, where he led the creation of the firm's Equity & Structured Finance service line. Prior to this, Mr. Kaylor spent nearly 13 years as a real estate investment banker at firms that included Banc of America Securities LLC, Stifel Nicolaus, and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Over the course of his career in real estate equity brokerage and investment banking, Mr. Kaylor has raised more than $30B in project- and corporate-level equity, mezzanine, and debt capital from institutional sources for his real estate clients, and provided various strategic advisory services, including over $20B in buy-side and sell-side REIT M&A transactions. Prior to his career in investment banking, Mr. Kaylor served over eight years as a U.S. Naval Officer flying the EA-6B 'Prowler' aircraft and completed multiple aircraft carrier deployments to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf regions. Mr. Kaylor holds a Bacherlor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly, Pomona and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Margaret Gavlik

Margaret Gavlik, Chief Compliance Officer

Margaret Gavlik is the Chief Compliance Officer for The CenterCap Group and its affiliated broker dealer CC Securities, LLC. Ms. Gavlik has over 35 years of experience in varying roles in the broker dealer space, from trading and market making to management and for the past 10+ years in compliance. Prior to joining The CenterCap Group, she served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC a full-service integrated broker-dealer investment advisory firm. Ms. Gavlik brings a deep knowledge of the compliance and regulatory world. Skilled at understanding and providing guidance on significant regulatory and compliance related matters, she has developed compliance programs for firms providing a wide array of products including investment banking, capital raising and advisory solutions.

Ms. Gavlik holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Barnard College at Columba University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a FINRA Certified Regulatory & Compliance Professional (CRCP) and holds or has held the following FINRA licenses: Series 3, 4, 7, 14, 24, 27, 52, 53, 55, 79, 87, and 99.

June Munshi

June Munshi, Co-Founder

Ms. Munshi is Co-Founder of The CenterCap Group, LLC. Prior to forming The CenterCap Group, Ms. Munshi was Co-Head of M&A and a Senior Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis Investors (CB Richard Ellis's $40 billion AUM investment management business). She joined CBREI in July 2007 to co-head the build out of the firm's M&A efforts. Ms. Munshi sourced over $150 billion of potential investments for the firm's capital sources and developed over 200 new relationships with third party capital providers. From 1998-2007, Ms. Munshi was a senior coverage banker in the real estate investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and Wachovia Securities. During her career, Ms. Munshi has been involved with approximately $35 billion of advisory assignments and executed over $15 billion of common equity, preferred equity and debt offerings for public REITs and closed end funds. Ms. Munshi holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.

Gila Cohen

Gila Cohen, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Ms. Cohen is a Managing Director, Business Development and Real Estate for Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services.

Prior to MUFG, she was a Managing Partner of Castle Lanterra Properties where Ms. Cohen lead the firm's corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and private placement efforts. Previously, Ms. Cohen was a Senior Consultant, Head of Corporate Strategy and Client Relations for Courtland Partners, an institutional real asset advisor. At Courtland Partners she advised large corporations, insurance companies, RIAs and pension funds on real estate allocations and capital deployment opportunities within their portfolios. She has meaningful experience in building platforms, having held senior roles at Capital Dynamics as Managing Director and Global Chief Operating Officer of Private Equity and Golub Capital's Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Business Development. Over the course of her career, she has been involved in a broad range of transactions throughout the real estate and other sectors. She held senior investment banking and trusted advisor roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS Investment Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Ms. Cohen holds a Bacherlor's degree in Art History with a concentration in Mathematics from Columbia University.

Peter DiCorpo

Peter DiCorpo, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Peter DiCorpo is the Chief Operating Officer for The Allen Morris Company. In this role, Mr. DiCorpo is responsible for the oversight and management of finance, construction, brokerage and leasing, asset management, property management and acquisitions and dispositions.

Peter is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer for Brook Farm Group, a multifamily investor and developer focusing on path of growth and lifestyle markets in the Southeast and Mountain states. Peter has navigated every aspect of multifamily investment, development, and operations in the last 25 years through leadership roles at AIG Global Real Estate, CBRE Global Investors and The Allen Morris Company. He has led initiatives that generated significant portfolio growth, business operational realignment, and community engagement. Peter was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of The Allen Morris Company, where he managed the company's transition from a family office to an emerging real estate investment management firm. He also assumed the role of President of AMS Hospitality, AMCO's Hospitality joint venture.

After earning a Bachelor's degree cum laude at Colgate University, Peter completed an accelerated Master's in Accounting from the University of Hartford and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Simon Jawitz

Simon Jawitz, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Jawitz has over 40 years of business, entrepreneurial, finance, banking, legal and non-profit experience both in the United States and internationally. From 2015 to 2022 Mr. Jawitz served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Board Member of Common Living Inc., a VC-backed company focused on shared co-living residential properties in major urban locations in the U.S. From 2014 to 2022, he served as a non-executive director of Bank Leumi USA and before that was a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Asia Ltd., Head of Private Placements and Leveraged Loan Origination at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Managing Director and Head of J.P. Morgan's European Debt Capital Markets Group. He began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Jacob Mishler, Chief Judge, United States Court, Eastern District of New York and was a practicing attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Mr. Jawitz received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Bachelor's degree magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. He is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Finance, Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University.

James Mead

James Mead, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Mead is Chief Financial Officer of Thomas James Homes and has over two decades experience in the REIT industry. Previously, from 2017 - 2018, Mr. Mead served as the CFO of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc., a NYSE listed company and the largest grocery anchored retail owner, where he was responsible for guiding the company's repositioning as a REIT. From 2010 - 2015, Mr. Mead served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of SL Green Realty, an S&P 500, NYSE listed REIT with over 50 million square feet of investments in office, retail and residential properties in New York City. Prior to that, Mr. Mead was CFO of the NYSE listed Strategic Hotels & Resorts, a hotel REIT with properties in the United States, Mexico and Europe, and chief financial officer and head of operations for the California-based apartment REIT, Irvine Apartment Communities. Mr. Mead is on the Board of Advisors for the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane University, is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow, and a member of Ascend Pinnacle Pan-Asian corporate directors. Mr. Mead was formerly a member of the Board of Directors for Easterly Government Properties (NYSE: DEA), where he also chaired the audit committee.

Fred Scott

Fred D. Scott, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Scott serves as Director of Impact Investments at Red Stone Equity Partners with primary responsibility for overseeing Redstone's efforts in building an investment platform focused on underserved markets. Mr. Scott has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry including private equity, investment banking and financial advisory. He has advised on and invested in close to $5 billion of commercial real estate over his career. Prior to joining RSE, Mr. Scott was a Principal at Advalurem Group (a middle-market focused investment firm), a senior member of the acquisitions team at Strategic Capital Partners, and a Principal at Longwing Real Estate Ventures (a New York based real estate opportunity fund sponsored by Dubai Investment Group). Mr. Scott also worked for Lazard Freres, where he helped restructure and workout entity-level real estate investments in their fund portfolios. Mr. Scott began his career in the real estate investment banking group of Prudential Securities, where he worked on a variety of transactions for real estate clients totaling over $2 billion.

Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University. He is board member of Friends of Morningside Park and KIPP NYC, a charter school network serving over 7,500 students.

John Webb

John Webb, Advisory Board Member, The CenterCap Group

Mr. Webb is a co-managing partner of C3H8 Partners, LLC ("C3H8"), a management team partnership retained by a private equity firm to identify and execute investment opportunities in the U.S. downstream energy distribution industry. Mr. Webb is also the managing partner of Webb Capital Partners LLC ("WCP"). WCP focuses on principal investing, advisory and financial services for young growth companies. Mr. Webb is also a Principal of MC Square Capital, LLC, an SEC registered Broker Dealer, and a FINRA and SIPC member. Prior, Mr. Webb had a 20-year career with Barclays Capital. In his last position, he was a Managing Director in the Gaming and Hospitality team where he executed debt, equity and M&A transactions for the firm's clients. During a varied and international career at Barclays, Mr. Webb worked in coverage, leveraged finance, structured commodity/ structured finance and credit functions.

Mr. Webb was educated at Kingston College and North East Surrey College of Technology.
